...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN COLORADO...NORTH CENTRAL WHARTON...SOUTHEASTERN AUSTIN...NORTHWESTERN FORT BEND... SOUTHERN WALLER AND WEST CENTRAL HARRIS COUNTIES THROUGH 115 AM CDT... At 1216 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Bellville to near Eagle Lake to 9 miles northeast of Speaks. Movement was east at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Northwestern Rosenberg, Katy, Sealy, Brookshire, Eagle Lake, East Bernard, Wallis, Fulshear, Simonton, San Felipe, Pattison, Orchard, Cinco Ranch, Weston Lakes, Cumings, Cat Spring, Altair, and Garwood. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm.
